REC-SRT II Advanced Swiftwater Rescue Technician
Course Info
This 2 day course builds upon the skills you learned in REC-SRT I. The REC-SRT II course continues to develop your swiftwater rescue skills, through the utilization of advanced rescue techniques and scenarios. Course participants can expect to be pushed to their limits to develop further confidence by learning advanced entrapment techniques and elevated swimming scenarios. This is done by using the techniques learned in the REC-SRT I course, and incorporating them in more difficult swiftwater rescue scenarios.
Topics for the course may include boat handling techniques, advanced rope rigging, advanced go rescue swim scenarios, incident action planning, night operations, patient/victim management, river search concepts, and more.
Prerequisites
- *Completion of REC-SRT I Swiftwater Rescue Technician
- *Completion of REC-RRT Rope Rescue Technician Course
- Adequate physical fitness
- Swimming ability
- 18 years old or older
*Comparable courses may be accepted at Wasatch Technical Rescue Training's discretion. Proof of certification or training recorded may be required.
